GEO-A200 Compact Digital Accelerograph
GEObit introduces GEO-A200 high-resolution and high dynamic range compact digital accelerograph. The instrument is only 139mm in height and 138mm in diameter. The power consumption is less than 2W. The available sampling rate is 1 to 1000sps, and optional lower sampling rates are supported. The built-in GNSS receiver combined with ultra-accurate DPLL unit providing time drift 10e-9sec ensures timing stability even without a GPS signal. NTP timing is also available. The instrument provides self-calibration functionality. DC offset removal is also performed automatically or on demand. Acquisition parameters and operation modes can be set from the user-friendly web interface, which can be protected with up to 64 character passwords.
Additional Details
The unit operates in continuous, triggered, or both modes, streaming data through various ports. Local data storage and log files are optional. It supports advanced features using trusted open-source software and can run custom applications due to its open-source architecture.
The hardware uses an embedded ARM9 400MHz ARM Linux board with a 14.6 Linux kernel. Data is stored in mini-SEED format on a microSD card or USB stick. It has a 10/100 Ethernet port, a debug port, and supports FTP, SFTP, and SSH. Health status is transmitted via UDP packets upon request.
The instrument includes embedded Earthworm and Seedlink servers with configurable data packet sizes for low-latency transmission. It is ideal for earthquake monitoring, early warning, and structural monitoring, with easy installation due to single bolt mounting and flexible connectivity.
