Nuclear Non-Proliferation
Overview
ISTI’s nuclear physics and seismology groups play important roles in our work supporting nuclear non-proliferation. Our unique combination of scientists and software engineers has allowed us to create powerful, user-friendly systems for manual review, processing, and report generation.
Working with our nuclear physicists and seismologists, our software engineers develop automatic processing and analysis solutions that allow for unattended monitoring of critical systems. With decades of experience, our software engineers create data acquisition systems that provide robust and secure encrypted communications.
The sections below describe some of the applications and services we provide to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation community.
Radiation Analysis Services
ISTI provides radiation analysis services that include evaluation software for radionuclide laboratories intercomparison exercises, high throughput radionuclide spectra processing, and Geant4 - monte carlo modelling.
Radiation Monitoring
ISTI creates custom solutions that acquire data from remote sensors, control/view user interfaces (local and remote), and ensure the integrity of the data being transmitted during the acquisition process.
Nuclear Safeguards Analysis
ISTI designed, built, and delivered an intraweb-based information system for the statistical analysis of the nuclear materials’ cycle (mass flow) in nuclear fuel processing facilities.
