ISTI provides the following radiation analysis services:
Evaluation software for radionuclide laboratories intercomparison exercises. For the quality control program of an international network of radionuclide laboratories, ISTI designed, built, and delivered a web-based system for statistical evaluation of data from laboratory intercomparison exercises (proficiency test exercises). This web-based system reports the evaluation results.
High throughput processing of radionuclide spectra. ISTI developed software that automatically processes and interactively reviews radionuclide spectra. The application’s emphasis is on handling a high daily spectra throughput with minimal effort to facilitate manual spectra and performance review for peaks close to the detection limit.
Geant4 - monte carlo modelling. ISTI developed Geant4-based software for simulation of the high-purity Germanium (HPGe) radiation detectors’ response. The software performs an efficiency calibration simulation based on detector and source geometry and facilitates detector model optimization by comparing simulation results with experimental calibration sources. The software can calculate coincidence correction factors for any nuclide and can simulate measurements of sources with arbitrary composition of radioisotopes.
