Multistage stimulation will revolutionize the Geothermal industry (see Why multistage stimulation could transform the geothermal industry) and open up the west to producing energy on the order of 60 Gigawatts of energy if these oil and gas techniques work for geothermal wells! The upshot is that induced seismicity is still a concern, especially when more fractures and pathways are being created through multistage simulation.
